Testimonials

Suki Binning

Chief Social Worker at Interventions Alliance

"As Barack Obama said, “If you are successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life.”

Ian is one of those great teachers; this wonderful book means that the wisdom he so generously shares can reach far and wide for generations to come. An inspiring read, that gently reminds us, that we all have the capacity to serve and the importance of continuously learning."

Michael Spurr CB

Chief Executive of HM Prison and Probation Service

"A treasure of a book full of life-affirming wisdom. A user manual for self-discovery and personal growth.

Ian makes a compelling case for “servant leadership” and his commitment to lifelong learning provides a challenge to us all. A memoir to enjoy and embolden – highly recommended."

Alan West

Senior Pastor of Luton Christian Fellowship

"This book will give you much food for thought and is an inspiration, an encouragement and an education for anyone who is pursuing the art of leadership. Especially leadership that pursues truth, honesty and integrity and is motivated by genuine humility and curiosity."

Gill Atrill OBE

Deputy Director at HMPPS

"A reminder of the great adventure of learning, of the opportunities, freedoms and community that curious learning can bring.

Written with the humility, compassion and generosity it promotes, this is a uniquely personal and positive story of a life of learning. A great read, not just on learning well, but on living well."
